Energy

The increase in population and economic development highlights the need for increasing energy consumption. It is estimated that by 2050 the world population will reach about nine billion people, everybody needs energy for their daily activities, activities at home, at work, even for your car.

Economic development can’t be sustained without a source of clean and renewable energy. Indonesia is helping the world with the investments in renewable energy technologies such as biofuels, biomass and wind initiatives. However, in terms of smaller scale technologies such as solar thermal water heating, residential photovoltaics, and energy efficiency, the enterprises selling these products are making slow traction, partly due to a lack of funding. At the same, many start-ups are developing great applications and products that reduce our need for energy, commuting and building materials.
